Our Accomplishments

RBR BUC Backer Foundation (RBRBBF) is the parent group of Red Bank Regional High School (RBRHS).  RBRHS’s sending districts include Little Silver, Shrewsbury and Red Bank.   Our school supports over 1,200 students and their families from these towns as well as students enrolled in specialized academies from other towns in Monmouth County.  We also support 160 faculty and staff.

While our accomplishments are many, there is still so much need in the school system, especially given the school funding crisis.  The generous help of alumni, businesses and student families like you is critical to meeting these needs.

Here is a list of just a few of the initiatives the BUC Backer Foundation has supported:

  • Five annual scholarships of $1,000 each to graduating seniors
  • Teacher appreciation lunch and teacher conference dinner
  • Collaboration with The Source to adopt families in need at the holidays
  • Campus beautification
  • Teacher grants, recently including, but not limited to:
    • State of the art lighting console for the RBR theatre
    • Portable PA system for Commons area
    • Media Center Makerspace 3-D Printer
    • Classroom tools like smartboards, overhead projectors and graphing calculators
    • Engineering conference tuition
    • Podcasting equipment
    • Fitness resources such as heart rate monitors, strength and conditioning equipment for the fitness center
    • Increased access to technology: 26 Android tablets, 4 iPad minis, 25 Chromebooks with cart and headsets
    • Modular system for piano lab wellness center
  • RBR Pride initiatives such as: freshman t-shirts, senior blankets and sports team shirts
