THE PARENTS GROUP OF RED BANK REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
The Rotary Club of Red Bank is excited to announce the first annual RBR "Shark Tank" Challenge. This is an opportunity to win up to $2,500 towards a college scholarship or an award for your startup business. Applicants may work independently or in a team of up to four people. More here
Applications are currently being accepted for the SOURCE, Albert Martin, and Andrew Kroon Memorial Scholarship programs. The SOURCE will award (3) $1000 SOURCE Scholarships, (3) $1000 Albert Martin Scholarships, and (1) Bleemer-Cerbone scholarship for $250. We are also looking to award 3-4 Andrew Kroon Memorial scholarships.
Due date is April 28, 2017 for the SOURCE, Albert Martin and Bleemer-Cerbone scholarship applications and April 15 for Andrew Kroon Memorial scholarship application.

It is the goal of the RBR BUC Backer Foundation to draw scholarship applicants from a diverse group of students. Five (5) scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded to graduating seniors from the Class of 2017 who will be attending a four year college, a community college, or a vocational institution.
The five (5) different scholarship categories are shown below.
Please note that seniors may only apply for ONE scholarship and his/her essay must relate to that scholarship.
“180/Turn Your Life Around”
Describe how you have shown great improvement, academically and/or personally, during your years at RBR.
“RBR Pride and Leadership”
Describe how you have demonstrated pride and leadership through sports, academics or other RBR activities.
Describe your pursuit of an academic, artistic, athletic or vocational passion while a student at RBR. What did you achieve? How is it your personal best?
Describe how you have challenged yourself both academically and personally through activities inside and outside of school.
Describe how (and for how long) you have shown a commitment to making the world a better place through volunteerism.
Each June, the Little Silver Charitable Foundation (LSCF) awards a $1,000 scholarship to an RBRHS senior who resides in Little Silver. Applicants are required to write an essay (500 words or less) answering the question: "What is special about growing up in Little Silver?"
Applicants, please submit your your entries to the RBRHS Guidance Office on or before Friday, March 31, 2017. Supply your name, address, and phone number or e-mail address.
The LSCF Committee reviews the essays and the $1,000 one-time scholarship will be awarded at the RBRHS senior awards ceremony in June 2017.

Support the BUC Backers!
Please make sure that all of the following six (6) sections are completed in order for your application to be considered:
1. Personal Information: including choice of scholarship
2. Paperwork: High School Transcript, GPA, Signature of your Guidance Counselor, List of any upper level (AP, IB, Honors) courses you have taken while at RBR
3. Post-Graduation Plans: (colleges, vocational schools, etc.)
4. School and Community Information
6. Recommendation: RBR staff/coach recommendation letter (to be sent to Mr. Jason Sabino in the guidance department).
Important: The recommendation cannot be general. It must support your scholarship choice.
Applications will be reviewed by RBR parents who do not have graduating seniors. Scholarships will be awarded at the Senior Awards Night.
